Miller, an experienced player, notched her fourth goal of the season, reaching a milestone of 50 career PWHL points in her 69th league appearance. On the other hand, rookie Samoskevich, with her ability to play both defense and forward positions, celebrated her inaugural PWHL goal in her 24th game.

With this win, the Goldeneyes improved their standing to 8-1-4-14, securing 30 points and placing seventh in the league. Meanwhile, the struggling Seattle Torrent, with a record of 7-1-3-16 and 26 points, occupy the last position in the eight-team league.
The top four teams in the league will advance to the playoffs, with the Ottawa Charge currently holding the fourth spot with 36 points (7-7-1-12).
