The team that secures four wins first will win the series. If additional games are necessary, they would be scheduled for Monday, April 27 in Raleigh, Thursday, April 30 in Ottawa, and a potential Game 7 in North Carolina on Saturday, May 2.
CBC TV will broadcast Games 2 and 3, while the times and channels for the final three games are yet to be announced. The Senators have announced that fans can enjoy free viewing of playoff games outside the Canadian Tire Centre and avail of free parking during road games.
Carolina, finishing the regular season with 113 points, claimed the top spot in the Eastern Conference and second place league-wide, just behind Colorado. The Hurricanes have secured playoff berths for eight consecutive seasons without reaching the finals. Ottawa, with 99 points, landed in the eighth spot in the East. They improved by two points compared to the previous season, marking their second playoff appearance of the decade. The Senators’ last playoff round victory dates back to 2017.
