Despite stating that Rivas Hernandez had told him she was 18, accusations claim D4vd, whose real name is David Burke, engaged in a sexual relationship with her for months. Allegedly, the situation escalated to her threatening to expose their relationship and harm his career, leading to her tragic death at his hands.
Images of Rivas Hernandez’s dismembered body, discovered in a Tesla registered to Burke, were shown in court. The testimony included details of the grim findings by Detective Joshua Byers, who described the condition of the remains.
Rivas Hernandez’s parents, along with a crowd of journalists and spectators, attended the hearing, which is set to last around four days. Judge Charlaine Olmedo will determine if the evidence presented justifies proceeding to trial, as Burke, currently in custody since his arrest, maintains his plea of not guilty.
