CBS Show “Tracker” Moves Production to California for Season 4

The popular CBS show “Tracker” is relocating its production to California for its fourth season after filming in Vancouver and southern British Columbia for the past three seasons. Actor Justin Hartley stars in the series as a survivalist who tracks down missing people for rewards. The move to Los Angeles comes after receiving a substantial $48 million tax credit.

Since its premiere in February 2024, “Tracker” has been a ratings success, airing on Global TV in Canada. The show’s departure from Vancouver is seen as a significant loss by industry insiders, including Gemma Martini, CEO of Martini Film Studios, where the series was filmed for three seasons.

Despite the move, other productions are still active in British Columbia. The state has been actively attracting film and television projects through enhanced tax credit programs. The film industry contributed significantly to the province’s economy, generating billions of dollars and thousands of jobs.

While “Tracker” relocates to California, various ongoing and upcoming productions continue to showcase the vibrant film and television industry in British Columbia, maintaining its status as a sought-after filming location.
