“Canadian Screen Awards: Children’s TV Winners Announced”

Canadian Screen Awards week has started with the announcement of the Children’s Television Awards winners in Toronto. The event marked the first of six ceremonies, revealing 16 winners across various categories.

Josette Jorge won the award for Best supporting performer, children’s or youth for her role in “The Unstoppable Jenny Garcia.” Another notable winner was Will Arnett for Best voice performance in “Super Team Canada.”

Other winners include “Toopy and Binoo Fabulous Adventures” for Best writing, pre-school, and “Thomas & Friends: The Christmas Letter Express” for Best original music in animation. Additionally, “Old Enough! – Where’s The Ginger, Please?” received the award for Best picture editing, children’s or youth.

“Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum — I am Jackie Robinson” stood out with wins for Best writing and Best direction in animation. The show also won the Canada Media Fund kids’ choice award.

Asha Soetan from “Odd Squad” was recognized as the Best lead performer, children’s or youth. The show also won in the category of Best children’s or youth fiction program or series.

“Daniel Tiger’s Neighbourhood” was awarded as the Best pre-school program or series, and “Super Team Canada” secured the title of Best animated program or series.

The Canadian Screen Awards celebrated achievements in children’s television, honoring outstanding talent and creativity in the industry.
