A blaze at a business complex on Wyandotte Street West has resulted in approximately $1 million in destruction, as reported by Windsor Fire and Rescue Services on Monday. The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. Chief Fire Prevention Officer John Smith stated that fire personnel took about 45 minutes to get the flames under control. No injuries were reported in the incident. The fire service vehicle was seen outside the Palmyra Supermarket and Restaurant, with shopping carts and debris visible in the parking area. The cause of the fire is under investigation, with initial indications pointing to an electrical origin, according to Smith. Additionally, a nearby medical clinic sustained smoke damage as a result of the fire.
