“Canada’s Men’s Curling Team Secures 7th Win in a Row”

Canada’s winning streak continued at the men’s world curling championship as they secured their seventh consecutive victory by defeating Germany with a score of 9-2 in the afternoon draw on Thursday. The Winnipeg-based team led by Matt Dunstone now holds a record of 9-2, placing them in a tie for second position alongside Scotland with one draw remaining.

The top two teams following the final draw on Thursday will secure direct spots in the semifinals, while the subsequent four teams will have to compete in a qualification round. Sweden, currently at 10-2, leads the standings despite being inactive in the final draw. The Swedish team concluded their preliminary round with a dominant 11-2 win against Czechia in the same afternoon session.

Canada will face Norway in the upcoming final draw, while Scotland is set to challenge Czechia. In other results from the afternoon draw, Italy, already qualified for the playoffs, defeated Norway 7-4, and Japan emerged victorious over South Korea with a score of 9-3.
