Manitoba Residents on Alert Amid Tornado Warnings

Residents of southern Manitoba experienced another round of tornado warnings on Wednesday following the touchdown of three tornadoes in the area the day before. The afternoon began with severe thunderstorm alerts in the southern part of the province. Environment and Climate Change Canada then escalated the warnings to tornado alerts, mainly focused south of Winnipeg in areas like Starbuck, Morris, and Steinbach. By 10 p.m. CT, all tornado alerts had been lifted, leaving only the southeast corner of the province under severe thunderstorm alerts.
