Senators’ Tkachuk Fined $2.5k for Unsportsmanlike Conduct

Ottawa Senators player Brady Tkachuk has been fined $2,500 by the NHL for displaying unsportsmanlike conduct. The incident took place during the first period of Ottawa’s 4-1 win against the Buffalo Sabres at home. Tkachuk, while seated on the bench, made contact with Beck Malenstyn of the Sabres using the butt end of his stick as Malenstyn collided with the boards. Tkachuk received a minor slashing penalty for his actions, and the fine imposed will contribute to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
